About Us

The Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section (BSCES) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is a professional organization that focuses on the professional growth of its members, nurtures future engineers, and advances engineering knowledge. We serve as an advocate, trusted advisor, and steward for public safety in the built environment, investment in sustainable infrastructure, and protection of our natural resources. Established in 1848, BSCES is the oldest engineering society in the United States and currently supports over 4,000 members, students and professionals in the civil engineering and construction industries throughout Massachusetts.

We're not the best because we're the oldest, we're the oldest because we're the best!
