The Joseph C. Lawler Fund was established in March 1986 in memory of ASCE Civil Engineering Management Award winner Joseph C. Lawler to provide a forum to discuss important aspects of engineering management. These include the management of projects, the general management of engineering organizations, and the management of engineering education and professional development. The Lawler Lecture is generally held in late spring and features a well-known national and local engineering leader to address members of the engineering community on important aspects of engineering.
Currently, the Engineering Management Group oversees the use of the fund to ensure it is utilized for its intended purpose.
