A panel of local experts will discuss using nature-based solutions to improve stormwater infrastructure. Each panelist will present on lessons learned about green infrastructure from their unique perspective. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session. Food and beverages will be provided during the reception, along with a cash bar.
Panelists
Sara Burns is a water resource scientist with the Massachusetts Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Sara works with a range of partners and technical experts around Massachusetts to plan, fund, and construct nature-based solutions projects to improve water quality, reconnect aquatic ecosystems, and reduce natural hazard impacts.
Kate England, ENV SP, NGICP manages the Green Stormwater Infrastructure (“GSI”) Program at the Boston Water and Sewer Commission. In her time at the Commission, Kate cultivated the nascent GSI Program and oversees public GSI Projects in Boston through various stages of planning, design, construction, maintenance and monitoring.
Michael Dutton has served as Bridgewater’s Town Manager for the past six years. A lawyer by training, he has also had a private practice representing clients in front of state and municipal boards. He has been involved in numerous municipal and non-profit building and infrastructure projects throughout the past twenty years.
