What you need to know to be a Port Engineer! This pre-recorded session is a condensed version of the course recently presented at the Ports 2019 Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. The session will provide an overview for students seeking a career in the port and maritime industry, new technical professionals working in the industry, mid-career engineers transitioning into the industry, and senior-level managers who have assumed responsibilities over port engineering but are new to the topic. The technical facets of designing, assessing, and maintaining structures will be discussed by industry professionals from diverse backgrounds. There will be a 15 minute Live Q+A with presenters at the end of each sessions.
This course provides and introduction to the industry and compliments the ASCE Port Engineering Certificate Program which features in-depth guided online courses on Port Engineering topics.
