Members of the BSCES Board of Government would like to acknowledge the passing Bill Zoino on July 23 at the age of 91. Bill was a former BSCES president (1979-1980), BSCES Honorary Member (1995), ASCE Distinguished Member (2013).
Bill received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in civil/geotechnical engineering from MIT in 1954 and 1955. In 1964, Bill and his MIT classmate Don Goldberg founded GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., where he worked until his retirement in 1994. After serving in the US Navy, Bill worked, primarily on dam projects, in the US and abroad.
