The Bertram Berger Memorial Fund was established in recognition of Bertram Berger's contributions to ASCE and to BSCES. Allocations from the fund were used to establish a joint BSCES/SAME (Society of American Military Engineers) Bertram Berger Scholarship at Northeastern University and an endowed scholarship for the University of Massachusetts (UMass) campuses that offer civil engineering curricula; Amherst, Dartmouth, and Lowell. The endowed scholarship, known as the "Boston Society of Civil Engineering/ASCE Bertram Berger Memorial Scholarship," is administered by each of the Universities respectively.
